BRU - 24/02/2011

Hello everyone!

Yesterday (24/02), I was back in BRU to try to catch the other Russian planes. The weather was very foggy and we could barely see the planes taking off from runway 25R.

The two following pictures show the fog when I arrived on site:

Asiana Cargo - Boeing 747-400F - HL-7616

I could barely distinguish the Runway lights and the Pier A building...

I stayed up to 45 minutes after the scheduled time of departure of the last Russian. However, I could only see one IL-62M (the same as the day before?) leaving BRU. So, I will have to wait another visit of Russian officials to get pictures of an IL-76, IL-96 or/and TU-154!

For the same reason as in my last message, I choosed to take a video rather than a picture of the leaving IL-62 (if you want the HD version, click on the picture). Luckily, the weather was (slightly) better:

Hopefully the weather will get better in the days to come so I can take again decent pictures!

Have all a nice week-end!

BRU - 23/02/2011

Hello everybody!

Today, Russia's Prime Minister Putin arrived in Brussels for a two-days visit. This was the opportunity to see several rare airplanes, namely:
- IL62M
- IL76
- IL96
- TU154

Today, I could only see one of the IL62, although I was expecting to see also the IL96 and the TU154. However, after having waited until 19:40 (scheduled arrival between 19:15 and 19:30), and nothing being announced, I decided to go home. However, I'll try to catch them when they depart tomorrow afternoon, also with better lighting conditions!

Enough text, here is the video I took with my P&S (it was already too dark to have a decent picture):

PS: if you want the video in 1080HD, click on the thumbnail, which will redirect you on Youtube's website where you can choose the quality.
